New England IPA · 17°
Washington NEIPA 17
It was morning. Thursday. I was supposed to write the description for Washington. After a few sips from a half-litre glass, I almost forgot I was drinking beer. Pure breakfast juice: orange, pineapple, mango, grapefruit... This beer is hopped to “zero IBU” (the first hop addition comes only in the whirlpool). Simcoe leads the way, but Citra and Amarillo make themselves known too. This is New England, this is revolution: a modern style breaking conventions and old ties just like the settlers at the Boston Tea Party. It is hazy, juicy, fruity and barely bitter at all, apart from the little bitterness extracted during dry hopping. The body stays lively and punchy, even though the beer is highly attenuated. A beer you simply have to taste.
