Burton Bullion Bitter 14

In collaboration with Lukáš Provazník (Ochtnávková Pivnice and Malt Worm), we brewed a replica of a beer from the early 20th century. This is an English Bitter, where you’ll be delighted by the distinctive malt character of Chevallier malt, the dominant barley variety in England from 1820 to 1920. It has robust maltiness, a rich marmalade character, and a long aftertaste. Bullion hops were bred in 1919, and the East Kent Golding used for dry hopping is even more than 100 years older. Invert sugar was used to soften the beer, as was common at the time.
